Recently, the brilliant Real Ale Craft Beer channel dropped a review of Dog’s Window’s “Just Throw It” Hazy IPA, and let’s just say it made us very proud to champion local Welsh craft beer [00:00].

The Beer: A 5.1% Juice Bomb
“Just Throw It” is a 5.1% ABV Hazy IPA that pours a beautiful, hazy amber with a solid one-finger white head [02:21]. But it’s the aroma and flavour where this can truly shines.
The reviewer immediately picks up on a soft tangerine aroma, correctly guessing the presence of the mighty Nectaron hop [03:09]. Backed by a superstar hop trio of Citra, Nectaron, and Amarillo, the beer delivers vibrant notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and orange peel [07:56].
What makes this IPA truly special, though, is the malt backbone. Beneath that hoppy dance, there’s an initial blast of a light, crisp wafer biscuit malt flavour that beautifully knits everything together [05:09]. One of our favourite parts of the review is the shoutout to Lee, the one-man band behind Dog’s Window [02:14]. It’s a testament to the fact that you don’t need a massive, hyper-modern facility to produce world-class beer. As the review notes, the sheer handcrafted nature of the brewery translates directly into the quality of the liquid in the glass [06:45].
