Description
This is a remarkably soft and juicy Hazy Pale Ale that’s all about texture and tropical fruit. It’s been designed specifically to showcase a very modern, experimental trio of New Zealand hops, and the result is an absolute riot of flavour.
The Lowdown
The Style: A New England / Hazy Pale Ale. It’s thick, opaque, and built for maximum “juice” factor.
The Vibe: Vibrant, velvety, and incredibly refreshing. It’s the kind of beer that feels like a treat from the first sip.
The Build
The secret to that signature “pillowy” mouthfeel is all in the grain bill, followed by some serious late-stage hopping:
The Hops: A stunning New Zealand trio of Nectaron, Wai-iti, and the experimental NZ-106. These have been added extensively late in the brew and as a generous dry-hop to preserve those delicate, zesty oils.
The Grist: Built on a silky, thick foundation of naked and flaked oats, which gives the beer its gorgeous, opaque golden colour and “heavy” texture.
Tasting Notes
On the pour, it’s a beautiful, dense golden-yellow with a creamy white head. On the nose, it’s an absolute tropical explosion—expect big hits of passionfruit and fresh peach. The first sip is remarkably smooth and soft on the palate; those tropical notes are joined by a burst of zesty mandarin and stone fruit. It finishes beautifully clean and smooth, with almost no bitterness to speak of—just a lingering, juicy fruitiness.
